# Quick PIT > Quick PIT is a modern app for conducting efficient, accurate HUD Point-in-Time (PIT) counts of people experiencing homelessness. Built for Continuums of Care (CoCs), it pairs an offline-capable field app for volunteers and staff with an admin dashboard for configuring surveys, scheduling counts, managing teams and locations, and monitoring results in real time. Quick PIT is built by Choice Technology Solutions, LLC (CTS), led by owner/operator Clint Johnson, an experienced HMIS Administrator and consultant. --- ## Home URL: https://quickpit.app/ The Quick PIT App is tailored for conducting efficient and accurate HUD Point-in-Time (PIT) surveys, a crucial tool in addressing unsheltered homelessness. It is designed to give Continuums of Care (CoCs) a seamless experience and advanced technology to support their mission to end homelessness. Core features: - Offline Capable: Collect data without constant internet connectivity, syncing once back online. - Social Sign-In: Supports Google, Microsoft, and Apple accounts (Apple on iOS only), or traditional email and password. - Location Aware: Automatically identifies survey locations and streamlines data collection. - Dynamic Surveys: Conditional logic adapts surveys in real time based on responses. - Enhanced Security: Data encryption in transit and at rest, powered by Google Cloud Platform. - Admin Portal: A dedicated portal for CoC admins to manage data, create custom surveys, map data, and generate reports. Availability: iOS (Apple App Store), Android (Google Play), and a web app at count.quickpit.app. CoCs interested in using Quick PIT for future PIT counts can complete a short interest form on the site. --- ## Admin Dashboard FAQ URL: https://quickpit.app/admin-faq/ A guide for CoC administrators covering everything the Quick PIT admin dashboard can do. The dashboard is where admins build and configure what the field team uses, then monitor a count as it happens. The left sidebar groups pages into sections: Overview; Build (Surveys, Question Bank, Waivers, Resources); Operations (Counts, Locations, Sheltered); People (Users, Alerts); and Settings/Sign out. A "Current CoC" switcher lets admins managing multiple CoCs choose which one they are working in. New CoCs see a Getting Started checklist on Overview with five auto-completing steps: create a survey, schedule a count, bind a survey to the count, add locations, and invite the team. Only the Live View page updates in real time; other pages load data on open and refresh after a save. Overview: The landing page combines a CoC snapshot (code, name, status), three summary cards (Active users, Total Count, Resources), and an embedded Live View. Live View: A real-time operations center with a live database connection. Includes a count selector, survey-kind filters (All/Interviews/Observations/Sheltered), time filters (entire count / last 24h / last hour), KPI cards (people, households, interviews, observations, sheltered, volunteers, locations, recent activity), an OpenStreetMap activity map with location and zip-code views, a people-by-zip table, an hourly submissions chart, demographics breakdowns (age, gender, race, veteran status), and a privacy-safe recent activity feed. Visible to CoC admins and platform admins only. Surveys & Survey Builder: Surveys are the questionnaires volunteers complete, in four kinds — Interview, Observation, Sheltered, and Household Member. "Seed New Survey" generates pre-built templates; "New Survey" starts from scratch. The Survey Builder lets admins set name, kind, and active status, then build page by page with bank questions, text blocks (Surveyor Read, Info, Error), reordering, and per-question prompts/guidance/required toggles. Conditional ("skip") logic shows or hides questions and pages based on earlier answers, including age-aware operators for date-of-birth questions. Archiving makes a survey inactive without deleting it. Question Bank: A reusable library of HUD-standard and custom questions that feed the Survey Builder. "Seed Default Questions" adds standard HUD questions without overwriting existing ones. Supported question types include Info/Surveyor Read/Error Text, Short Text, Number, Date Picker, Approximate Date, Date of Birth (with Age), Social Security Number, Single Select, Multi Select, and Paragraph. Custom questions can be deleted; HUD defaults cannot. Waivers: Liability/consent forms surveyors sign in the app, with Completed Waivers and Waiver Templates tabs. Templates have a title, rich-text body, and consent statement, both supporting a {NAME} placeholder. Creating a new active template forces all surveyors to re-sign. Signed waivers can be exported to PDF with signature, device info, timestamp, and verification hash. Resources: Training and reference materials shown in the field app — Content articles, External Links, YouTube Videos, and Files. Each has a status (Draft/Published/Archived), featured toggle, and sort order; only published resources appear in the app. Counts: A count is a PIT event — a date window plus the surveys and waiver the app uses. "New Count" pre-fills smart defaults including a count name, PIT night (default: last Wednesday of January), a start/end window, required interview survey and waiver profile, optional observation and household member surveys, operational notes, an optional review window, and active/default toggles. Counts can be edited but not deleted. Locations: Canvassing spots created either by field users in the app (private to the creator) or by admins via "New Location" (name/address, city, zip; geocoded for the map). Admins can assign locations to specific members, soft-delete them (blocked if survey responses are attached), and search by name/city/zip. Assigning a location transfers it to admin management and clears the original creator. Sheltered Programs: Manages HMIS non-participating Emergency Shelter (ES), Transitional Housing (TH), and Safe Haven (SH) programs counted through Quick PIT. Victim Service Providers (VSPs) should not use the app at this time; a separate aggregate-data solution is in development. "New Program" captures name, type, and geocoded address, binds a survey, and assigns users. Users, Invites & Roles: The Users page shows the member roster and allows inviting people and changing roles. Invites can be added individually (Member or CoC Admin) or bulk-imported via CSV/XLS/XLSX (always as Members). Invites send in batches of 200; resending never creates duplicates. Roles can be promoted/demoted (effective at next sign-in); admins cannot change their own role. A Pending Invites table allows resending or revoking. Alerts & Notifications: Sends push notifications to all active members, also delivered to each member's in-app inbox. Types are Message (normal) and Alert (high priority with sound). Notifications can be sent now or scheduled in 15-minute increments. A Notification History table tracks status, times, reach, and sender, with cancel for scheduled items. Settings: Personal settings include appearance (System/Light/Dark) and account sign-in linking (Google/Microsoft/Apple) plus password reset. CoC (tenant) settings include membership/join policy (Invite only, Auth code, or Open for demo tenants), CoC timezone (default America/New_York), and App Lock (re-authentication with a background timeout). --- ## Privacy Policy URL: https://quickpit.app/privacy/ Describes how Choice Technology Solutions, LLC collects, uses, and discloses personal information.
