# Built to protect the data of every person you count

PIT surveys can hold names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. Quick PIT protects that information by default — stored carefully, accessible only to the right people at the right time, and treated with the seriousness it deserves.

### Why this matters to us

Quick PIT is built by Choice Technology Solutions, founded by someone with personal lived experience. He has been on the other side of the clipboard — the person whose name, date of birth, and story were being written down. So data security here isn’t a compliance checkbox; it’s personal. Every safeguard in Quick PIT is built to the standard he’d want for his own information: protect the data, and protect the dignity of the person behind it.

**Sensitive fields, handled with care.** The most sensitive identifiers are stored separately and shielded from casual access, so day-to-day views don’t expose full SSNs or other private details.

**Role-based access.** Volunteers see what they need to do their assigned work and nothing more; survey responses are visible only to the person who collected them and authorized administrators.

**Tenant isolation by design.** Each CoC’s data is separated from every other organization’s — your community’s information stays your community’s.

**Accountability built in.** Signed waivers are captured as immutable records, and access to private data is restricted by clear rules rather than good intentions.

### Protect your respondents' data — and your community's trust

We’ll walk through exactly how Quick PIT stores and restricts access to sensitive information.

- **Who can see survey responses?** Only the person who collected a response and authorized CoC administrators — not other surveyors. CoC Admins can also restrict the amount of time a surveyor has access to the data they submitted.
- **What is the App Lock feature?**CoC Admins can set a lock timeout for the Quick PIT app. This requires users in the Quick PIT app to re-authenticate using biometrics or an unlock PIN to prevent unauthorized access to the app.
- **How are SSNs handled?** Full SSNs are stored separately from the rest of a response and can only be recalled by CoC Admins when completing a full export.
- **Is each CoC’s data kept separate?** Yes — data is isolated per CoC tenant.
- **Are signed waivers tamper-proof?** Signed waivers are stored as immutable, snapshotted records with an audit log.
